EasySep™ Human HLA-DR Positive Selection and Depletion Kit
Immunomagnetic positive selection and cell depletion kit
Overview
Use the EasySep™ Human HLA-DR Positive Selection and Depletion Kit to label HLA-DR+ cells with antibodies and magnetic particles. The cells are then subsequently separated using an EasySep™ magnet—without the use of columns. Labeled cells remain in the tube while unlabeled cells are poured off. Depending on your research needs, either fraction may be used downstream.
This kit targets HLA-DR, a human major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II receptor expressed on the cell surface of antigen-presenting cells (APCs), including dendritic cells, B cells, monocytes, macrophages, and activated T cells (Saraiva et al. Front Immunol, 2018). Research on APCs is relevant to the study of autoimmune diseases, viral infections, and cancer, to mention a few examples.

Data and Publications

Figure 1. Typical EasySep™ Human HLA-DR Positive Selection Profile
Starting with washed or lysed leukopheresis samples, the HLA-DR cell content of the isolated fraction is typically 91.9 ± 6.4% after positive selection and 2.0 ± 1.8% after depletion (mean ± SD using the EasySep™ Magnet). In the above example, the frequencies of HLA-DR+ cells in the start, final isolated, and final depleted fractions are 50.7%, 96.0%, and 1.0%, respectively.
