Add Intestinal Organoids to Your Research with IntestiCult™

Since their initial description by Sato et al. (2009), intestinal organoids have revolutionized the in vitro culture of gastrointestinal tissues. By recapitulating the cellular architecture and function of the in vivo tissue, organoids are enabling scientists to create more relevant models of health and disease. As they continue to evolve as a technology, organoids are becoming an ever more powerful tool for scientists, with a growing range of applications.

IntestiCult™ media are optimized for the efficient and reproducible culture of intestinal organoids from mouse or human tissue. Organoids grown in IntestiCult™ Organoid Growth Medium (Mouse) and IntestiCult™ Organoid Growth Medium (Human) expansion media retain key characteristics of the parental tissue while maintaining the proliferative ability of the intestinal stem cells. The IntestiCult™ Organoid Differentiation Medium (Human) drives further differentiation of functional cell types such as goblet and enteroendocrine cells and enables growth as a submerged monolayer, or at the air liquid interface, providing access to both the luminal and baso-lateral compartments.
