Innate Lymphoid Cell Research

Innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) are a family of cells identified in 2010 that have an important role in innate immunity.1 See More ILCs arise from a common lymphoid progenitor (CLP) and comprise less than 1% of the total population of lymphocytes.2 The low frequency and the lack of specific cell markers for ILCs creates challenges when it comes to identification, isolation and further characterization of these cells.3 To address these challenges STEMCELL Technologies has developed ILC enrichment kits that use our immunodensity and immunomagnetic cell separation platforms. Enriching these cells can significantly reduce the time needed for cell sorting using multicolor flow cytometry and speed up the process to obtain highly purified ILCs.
